Health & Wellness Fair ~ Thursday, February 16
The PTSA will sponsor a Health & Wellness Fair in the gymnasium on February 16. There will be exhibitors from many different organizations, all bringing great information and resources to help our students make good choices and live healthier lives. Students will visit the fair during their homeroom period.
Celebrate Black History ~ February 21 - 24
In conjunction with African American History month, the PTSA is pleased to present the Teacher's Discovery Traveling Exhibit featuring artists of the Harlem Renaissance. This was a pivotal time in our country's history when African Americans were encouraged to embrace their culture and identity. Students and staff will enjoy spectacular reproductions of art and literature in displays located outside the Media Center during the week.
Spring Honor Role Celebration ~ Wednesday, March 7
Once every semester, the PTSA takes time to celebrate our excellent students at CHS. All students who achieve honor roll status (GPA of 90 or above in all classes) in the previous semester are treated to a special lunch. This year, the PTSA will serve up a special lunch, including prizes, on Wednesday, March 7. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event, please contact Joyce Foster.
Party Like a Rock Star ~ Prom Tickets on sale March 19
Prom will be at Fernbank Museum this year. Tickets*** will be priced as follows:
03/19 - 03/23 ~ Tickets $65 each (includes a t-shirt)
03/26 - 03/30 ~ Tickets $70 each (includes a t-shirt)
04/09 - 04/13 ~ Tickets $80 each (no t-shirt)
***Tickets are only available to those age 20 and under
CHS Awards Night ~ Tuesday, April 17
Our annual CHS Awards Night will take place on April 17. Students are nominated by their teachers to be recognized for academic achievement and improvement in the classroom. The PTSA will host a reception for all award recipients after the ceremony. If you are available to help with this reception, please contact Carole Petz.
