Philippa Ighodaro was named as a semifinalist in the 2007 National Achievement Scholarship Program, an academic competition for African-American high school students. Semifinalists were identified through exceptionally high scores on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying test which was taken during their junior year.
