Joyce Chung Member of ASYO

In the band world there are several honor groups which students try out for. All-County Band, All-District Band, All-State Band are among the ones you have heard of. The most exclusive and most difficult Honor group for a wind player to win a spot in is the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO). JOYCE CHUNG is now a member of this incredible performing ensemble! If you have Joyce in your class, please congratulate her on this incredible accomplishment. She is the first wind player to make the group from Chattahoochee HS since my tenure here (2001).
Joyce Chung has auditioned for and made the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra for the 2006/07 season! Joyce, a Georgia All-State Flute player, is the daughter of Gyoung Chung and Jungin Kim. The ASYO only takes 4 flute players as opposed to 16 for All-State. This is an incredible accomplishment for this Chattahoochee High School Senior. She is the first band student to make the exclusive group in the past 6 years.
