The Junior Statesmen Summer School is an exciting and valuable opportunity for student leaders. JSA Summer School helps prepare students for future success in high school, at the college level, and beyond.

We are seeking serious, actively interested students who enjoy discussing and debating issues - the ones who hang around to pursue a question raised in class, always have an opinion and love to challenge the opinions of fellow students.

Please see your counselor for nomination and submit the form via fax at 650-347-7200. or online at jsa.org/nominate.

Located on the campuses of Georgetown , Princeton , and Stanford, this unique program includes three core components that provide engaging learning experiences while building leadership qualities:

A Rigorous Curriculum: Students enroll in college-level courses taught by university professors. Classes include AP U.S. History, AP U.S. Government, U.S. Foreign Policy, Constitutional Law, AP Comparative Government, Campaigns and Elections, and The U.S. Presidency.

Student Debates: Participants create and run a legislative body patterned after the U.S. Congress where they debate contemporary political issues.

Exciting Speakers Programs: Students meet and question leaders in government and the media, bridging classroom studies with the real world of politics.

Each year JSA awards more than $750,000 in scholarship funding. Awards are based on financial need, academic excellence, demonstrated leadership abilities, and evidence that an applicant is highly motivated to attend the program. We recognize the challenge of local fundraising and offer help to students who try to raise funds locally. Through a series of webinars, students and their parents can participate in the Junior Statesmen Fundraising Academy and put together a fundraising strategy to raise the portion of the tuition not covered by your family's funds and your scholarship award.
