High school students are allowed to carry over the counter medications with them as long as they are in the orginal containers. Students are not allowed to carry prescription medications with them with the following exceptions: inhalers, epi-pens and insulin. Presecription and non-prescription medications that are stored in the clinic must have an Authorization To Give Medication at School form signed by the physician (prescription) and the parent. The medication must be in the original container. The clinic is not permitted to give out any medications not provided by the parent.
If you need this form and can’t drop by the school, please click on the links on this site to help you get what you need quickly You may also go to the Student Health Services website. These forms are good for one school year.
Students who are sick, contagious and have a fever equal or greater than 100.4 must not be sent to school, and be fever free without Tylenol/Motrin for 24 hours before returning. A note from the doctor may be requested by the school, in order for your child to return to school. By working together, we can strive to ensure the health and well being of every student.
